This hike was another solo hike starting out at the Picketpost trailhead just west of Superior Arizona on highway US 60. The hike was on 12-06-2016 and was quite a nice hike with a good amount of terrain diversity and some very nice views. After the first 4 miles of desert you head up on a kind of ridge line and ascend up over numerous gentle hills to then come down into a tree filled canyon. In the canyon I ran into a large group of youth volunteers doing trail maintenance. Nice kids and amazing the hard work they put forth to help out our trail. Had a snack at the turn and doubled back to the car. All in all a quick hike and I maintained a good 3.2 mph pace getting to Tahoe before 1:30pm.
